The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the most recent in the Ecovacs range of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This wet-dry model is equipped with Ecovacs' new AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system that provides improved mapping and obstacles avoidance. It uses dual laser LiDAR, similar to that found in self-driving vehicles. It can scan a space up to 32 feet by the 270-degree angle. That translates into more precise mapping, faster response times, and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also has a rotating mopping mat constructed of chenille, making it easier to scrub hard-to-clean spots than traditional mopping. During my testing the X2 Omni took just over an hour to wash its pad and get to work, and I noticed it was more precise than other models that were able to follow a grid-like route around rooms. It was capable of navigating my room's with its corners and edges and also create an "Zambani pattern" up and down the middle of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station on a regular basis to empty the dust bin and clean the mop with hot water before starting another cleaning job.

The X2 Omni is just as simple to use and set up as the other Ecovacs products. Snap the dock into position, plug it in and pair it with your WiFi network at home. It takes only about a minute. Then, you can launch the app to begin your first cleaning task. I was able dive into the settings and customize my floor plan in less than 15 minutes, including creating restricted areas to sweep and mop, reworking my wall-mounted furniture placements, and more. The X2 Omni performed impressively in my tests, achieving excellent scores in debris removal and pet hair cleaning and near-perfect results in cleaning crevices and edges.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

The T10 Omni from ECOVACS is an extremely powerful vacuum and mopping machine. It is the most advanced model of the T-line of the brand and comes with a new OZMO Turbo 2.0 mopping system that uses dual-spinning brushes for better cleaning than traditional oscillating scrubbers. It also comes with YIKO built-in, a unique natural language processing tech that can respond to a range of voice commands. The ECOVACS App allows you to map your house, create cleaning schedules and modify settings.

The biggest con with the T10 Omni is that it's unable to switch from mopping to vacuuming in one run. The T10 Omni comes with two modes that require you to attach mop heads to and from the vacuum in accordance with your needs. This is fine for most households, but not so for those who lead busy lives.

The Deebot T10 is a great robot vacuum that gives impressive results. It was able to vacuum up more than 96% of the particles we threw at it on our hardwood flooring and floors, which is a remarkable performance. It did an excellent job on carpets and tiles and removed 99% of dirt.

This robot vacuum and mops comes with a large docking system that allows for automatic cleaning using cool water for the mop pads. It also has an auto-emptying 3L bag that is easy to replace and hot air drying for quick and easy maintenance. It also has a huge water tank that allows more frequent rinses and dry between mopping runs.

The Deebot T10 features an integrated wash tray into its base, similar to other mopping robots. It uses the wash tray to wash and dry its mop pads while it is using them. It doesn't have a removable tray so dirt, dust and other grime will gradually build up on the bottom.

3. RoboVac X8 Hybrid

While Anker-owned Eufy is well known in the world of robot vacuums, this model is its first venture into the realm of mopping. It has enhanced smarts, multiple map support and LIDAR scanning, in addition to twin turbine suction technology that adjusts to the surface you're cleaning. It's a tempting mid-range vacuum cleaner although it can't exactly live up to its promise to be the Ultimate Cleaning with Ultenic D6s: Vibration Mopping And Powerful 3000Pa Suction source for floor cleaning.

The X8 Hybrid looks like a traditional robotic vacuum cleaner from the top, with its circular shape with sweeping wheels and an elevated space for sensors. However, flip it over you'll see an electric floor brush and a single side sweeper brush that carries dirt from the edges into the main path of the robot's mouth. It's a little smaller than the main brushes of the iRobot Roomba S9 which I found made it easier to reach under chairs and couches.

Its mapping system allows you to set up no-mop areas and specific cleaning zones. It has a habit of hitting things like its charging station, and isn't very good at climbing over carpets. It was capable of removing pet hair on floors that were not paved, though, and in our tests, it took in 89.5 percent of litter, which is higher than all but the strongest robots we've examined.

The X8 Hybrid is controlled via an app, but it also has a set of physical buttons on its base. These buttons allow you to select a cleaning mode or turn off the robot. These buttons can be used to establish areas that aren't allowed to enter and access real-time maps. It's also a bit chatty and will inform you of what it's going to do next (start cleaning) or alert you when something isn't right.

4. ILIFE A4s

This model of high-tech vacuum can pick up pet hair, kibble and other particles with impressive efficiency. It also maneuvers perfectly around furniture legs. It also comes with an impressive feature set that includes two cleaning modes, a self-emptying dock, and a real-time obstacle avoidance system. The Wi-Fi enabled device is controlled best through the Neato App which schedules cleanings and maintenance requirements are monitored. The X2 Omni is an excellent option for homes with a large a mix of hard floors and carpet, but it requires some advance planning to avoid getting stuck by electrical cords, toys, or other unexpected obstacles.

In our hardwood floor and kibble tests, this robot performed well and picked up everything from one grain of rice to several pieces of dog food in one go. It had some difficulties transitioning to rugs but in general this vacuum cleaner is ideal for large rooms with flooring of all kinds and a mix of pets.

The A4s Pro is expensive, but it's a great option for those who wish to to leave the house with no hands on so they can get out and do other things or take care chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that increases suction to take on tough dirt or spills. It also has a battery-powered ElectroWall to define the boundaries of the robot.

This budget-friendly model from a well-known upstart brand is the cheapest robot we've tested yet and offers an exceptional value for the price. Its navigation system is basic and uses an extremely basic random pathing algorithm that isn't equipped with room mapping capabilities, making it less time efficient than the other models on this list. However it's still able to reach under furniture and in corners, and its mopping mode was very effective in our testing and was able to pick up pet hair and other debris easily.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ isn't quite as sturdy as the Roomba S9, but it does a better job overall in cleaning up pet hair on all surfaces. It cleans floors that are bare more thoroughly and does a good job on low-pile carpet, robot vacuum mops and it uses smart-pathing navigational technology for Superior Robotic Vacuum Cleaner: Ultimate Cleaning Solution maneuverability. It also lets you transfer it to a particular area, and its advanced suite of automation features include no-go zones and scheduling. It lets you pause and restart cleaning sessions which is ideal for homes with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent tangles and can hold up to 30 day's worth of dirt. It also comes with an array of side brushes that are angled to dig deep into corners, and its multi-stage filtration system captures dust, dander, and allergens for a cleaner air.

The iQ robot vacuum is well-built and feels solid. It works with an app for smartphones which lets you alter the vacuum's settings and schedule cleaning times ahead of time. The app also lets you see the iQ's remaining battery life and send push notifications about any issues it encounters during its cleaning session. You can control it using your voice with an Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant device. If you don't have either of these devices you can mark the boundaries of your area with physical boundary markers strips.

The iQ can do a decent job of removing bare floors and does a decent job on shaggy and low-pile carpet, but it doesn't have the same level of autonomy as our top picks. It's also costly and its ongoing costs can become expensive over time.
